We struck out today with the White Marlin, but caught 50lb class Yellow Fin Tuna and dolphin! Nice to see the Tuna showing up! October and November are perfect months to get into the meat!
Have the experience of a lifetime!! Sailfishing at Isla Mujeres, Mexico! We have dates available in January and February. Arch will be running the 42ft. Kin M. Great weather, INCREDIBLE fishing, and all the fun wrapped up on a five mile long island. The area boast beautiful beaches, excellent fishing, the convenience of everything you would need and you can walk to it all! We have lodging information as well.
Thw White Marlin haven’t left us just yet! Yesterday the Pelican raised nine whites and landed four. Bob Diggs and his friends were at one time completely covered up. All lines had been hit and the excitement was on! The fleet has caught good amounts of mahi and a few tuna are showing up.
This undoubtedly has been one of the greatest white marlin season’s aboard the Pelican. Capt. Arch has been diligent in making sure our charters experience all this great action. Bill Degraw’s group ended their two day White Marlin feeding frenzy with 27 releases! Yesterday, Richard Furgeson’s group saw some great action releasing three white marlin and landing fifteen nice mahi! Tuna season is approaching quickly and The Pelican is gearing up for a successful Fall. If you’re looking to get into the meat, get your friends and family together to experience all the fun of fishing for nice Tuna. We’re looking forward to it!!
UNBELEIVABLE!!! It seems like nothing can stop Capt. Arch Bracher from these Marlin! The Pelican released seventeen White Marlin today leading a Marlin season that will never be forgotten. This has been absolutely awesome fishing this year!! Congrats to Bill Degraw and his friends for displaying great angling skills today and getting these fish to the boat. Great team work!!! Today was the first day the Pelican was able to get out of the inlet after three days docked from the swell of hurricane Igor, challenging yet proved to be an extremely successful day! We’re geared up and ready for tomorrow!
Saturday was a great day! Luckily the inlet was still calm enough to let us pass, we had a great day releasing a 400lb Nice Blue Marlin and one white, what a day! We will be docked until the seas calm down from Hurricane Igor, hoping to get back out in the next day or so, great weather on the horizon.
The Pelican continues to raise flags! Tom Alber, who has been fishing with Capt. Arch for fifteen years had a stellar day releasing ten (10) White Marlin yesterday. The weather has been calm and sea conditions are giving way to great fishing. It’s been amazing fishing this year!
The Pelican had two excellent days of fishing! Yesterday John and Dick Bailey released 11 of 14 and today they released 7 of 12. The weather has been great the past few days, a little bumpy on the way in today. Looking forward to another successful day tomorrow!
Another great day on thePelican! Jim Motsko and his family really scored with Five White Marlin releases yesterday! The White Marlin bite is still going pretty strong considering the ups and downs we have had with weather patterns, it seems to have not had a negative affect on where these fish are and how they are moving. We are still able to reach them and hope this continues for the rest of the month. We have a few days open at the end of September and looking forward to seeing a great Tuna season this Fall. October and November are excellent months for filling your freezer and experiencing the catch of such a beautiful species. They are a ton of fun to catch and very good to eat! Capt. Arch is out today, with exceptional weather! We may have a nice swell this weekend from the hurricane, but happy it’s not coming our way. We’ve been extremely lucky this year with fishing and weather. I think I can speak for our charters when I say we have had the time of our lives with these fish, overall a great season!
If you could only imagine a 350 lb. Blue Marlin going back and forth on your teasers, it was truely an exciting event to see. Rob did an excellent job angling this nice Blue to the boat. the Pelican raised nine Whites, releasing four. This has been a great season for us all, escpecially for the Pelican and it’s crew. We have appreciated all the great bounty our sea has offered this year and expecting a great tuna season this fall. Weather kept us docked today but looks much better for the rest of the week.
