June 8th & 9th Arch and Lee did it again ! Half Ton of Yellow Fin Tuna, two 100 lb. Bigeye Tuna and 8 Mahi. These guys turned the term Fishing into Catching ! Fifth year in a row for our Crew and they have yet to fail to deliver. Best Boat in the fleet in our minds, and we were the top Boat on June 9 from a Fleet of 26 Charter Boats. Fish with the Pros on the Pelican for a offshore experience of a life time, you won’t be sorry ! John, Gary, Dave, Monk, Matt & Manny, the Md Crew
Another two days of fabulous Tuna fishing aboard the Pelican ! Arch & Lee are a pair a “Full House” can’t beat. 3/4 of a Ton of Tuna in 2 days, need I say more. Fish the Pelican if you want expertise. Thanks, Arch, Lee & Summer from the yearly Maryland Crew.
We had a great time fishing with you on Saturday. Thanks again to you and Lee for making Landon’s first offshore trip so memorable. You guys worked hard to find and keep us on the bite. We hope to have another generation of anglers interested in our great outer banks fishery. We will definitely be back to fish on the pelican again.
Thank you so much for a great fishing trip last Sunday. We all had a great time. Dominick has not stop talking about his Big Eye. This will be a fishing trip he will never forget. We greatly appreciate the work that you and Lee did to get us some good fish.
As always a great day on the water when I’m with Arch, never fails to impress though I will have to say after over 30 years of offshore fishing including a lot of bill fish tournaments yesterday will stand out as the best and this year as the best!!First I finally was able to convince my wife of 29 years to go offshore for the first time in June and add to it the trip yesterday, what can I say. Dave Collins, the guy that caught the Blue after the 3 hour fight got to check one more thing off his bucket list and when I asked said catching that marlin was physically harder than climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, which he did about eight years ago, he said yes.
As far as the marlin this year goes I’m sure you’ll get one at least. If there is one left in the ocean I’m sure you husband will find it!!
On behalf of myself and my uncle/cousins from South Dakota, we want to thank you both (and William as well) for a great trip last Thursday! When every other boat was struggling to catch fish, you worked hard to ensure we had a great day. The fact you took the time, effort and expense to switch to tuna fishing with only 1 hour left in the day showed us why you are among the best at your trade. And your effort paid off in landing 2 nice tuna before we headed back to the marina. Wanted to let you know your efforts did not go unnoticed. Thanks also for the lead on Justin who vacuum packed our fish for us and made it much easier to take it back on the plane. We hope to book another trip with you one day. In the meantime, thanks for a great trip and a lifelong memory of a great day fishing.
I just wanted to drop you a line and say thank you for an amazing day on the water July 2nd. Mike and I had a blast pulling in all of those Tuna, and my daughter Eula and Mike’s kids saw the gulf stream for the first time. I have always wanted my children to see the Gulf Stream, and I am really grateful that she was able to experience it aboard the Pelican….
Anyway, I really hope to go out with you guys again. I have fished with about 10 or 12 different boats out of Oregon inlet and Pirate’s cove- You guys are by far the most skilled team I have ever had the pleasure of fishing with. Lee I was especially impressed with how hard you worked in that cockpit. Some mates are more on the lazy side and let the baits get grass, or the Ballyhoo gets worn out- You had amazing hustle every minute. Capt Arch you were also very hard working, and you had a knack for boat positioning and situational awareness that I really appreciated. Thank you both for an amazing day on the water. I hope to do it again very soon, and I will recommend you to everyone!
I am not sure if you remember me-my husband Earl and I fished with you and Lee in 2013 just before Sonny got sick. I was trying to qualify for the IGFA Royal Slam and thanks to you both, Earl and I were able to catch many white marlin. Well, I caught my last fish to qualify this last March in Miami (Atlantic Sailfish) and am sending in my application. They ask for contact information of a witness or captain to verify the catch so I wanted to let you know that I used your name and cell number in case they contact you. I want to express my gratitude to you and Lee and let you both know how honored I am to have shared this lifetime quest with both of you.
Earl and I are also so glad that Sonny was able to get the medical care he needed and was such a tough soldier as he underwent the surgeries and recovery. Please convey to Lee our hope that all is going well now for them. We have fond memories of our trip to the outer banks and hope to return again.
We would all like to thank you guys for such a great trip! You were both laid back and enjoyable to be around. All of us enjoyed hearing Lee’s stories about throwing the fish, and missing the dock as well as hearing his thoughts on tv shows like Wicked Tuna and River Monsters. You both where great with Jimmy he is only 10, and it was his second time offshore. You guys treated him like everyone else, and still let him fish, not every boat would let him do that. He won’t stop talking about how much fun he had aboard the Pelican. We can’t wait until next year to go back out with you guys! (Arch, we hope you enjoyed the donuts). Thanks again for such a great time!
Please share your experience with us!
