Today was the last day of the Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament. The Pelican came in 2nd overall!! We are so proud!! Today we fished and released four Sailfish, three White Marlin and a Blue Marlin..GRAND SLAM! Excellent job guys!!

Fun on the Pelican today! The weather was much better offshore than expected. We released a nice Blue Marlin and saw another. Had a nice catch of Yellowfin as well. Great day fishing!
Today was incredible! Tim Drames and his crew released an estimated 600 Lb Blue Marlin!! They also caught Yellowfin Tuna. People spend their entire lives hoping to release a Blue Marlin, epic feat! Congratulations Pelican and crew!
The Yellowfin, Dolohin and Big Eye Tuna continue to be caught amongst the fleet in strong numbers. Today the boats fishing south were having a field day with the Blue Marlin! Very exciting spring fishing happening off the Outer Banks coast. Sounds like July fishing today with all the action! Get ready!!!

Although the Yellowfin Tuna season is around the corner the Marlin action remains constant! We have a few days left in September!! Plenty of action and fishing to be had!!
