It started a bit stormy this morning. We released a nice 400 lb Blue marlin today along with Yellowfin Tuna. Nice work from a few of the locals.
Its been an interesting last few days. Calm seas and warm weather but the fish have been scattered everywhere with everything showing up. Yesterday, there were a few Blue Marlin above the triple 0’s, a few Yellowfin and Big Eyes east of the inlet and scattered Yellow Fin and Mahi southeast of the inlet. We had Yellow Fin, Mahi and a Blue Marlin today…what a mix! July in June??? If your considering booking a day in July, I’d get on it. More of your meat fishing will be during the first couple of weeks leading into a turn around of more billfish showing up towards the end of July.
Fishing has been great! The whole fleet is doing well! This is the place to be for June and July fishing. A few marlin have been caught today too. Conditions are consistent along with the meat fishing. Nice work today!
July is a great month for fishing!! Everyday it offers the possibility to catch Mahi, Big Eye Tuna, Yellow Fin Tuna and different types of billfish! Vallie Blakley released her first White Marlin AND her first Blue Marlin today! Annah Petty hooked and released a White Marlin and paired with her husband to land two nice Dolphin! I (Summer) released two White Marlin ending the day with a total of four whites, a blue and two nice Dolphin! Great work ladies!
9 Whites and a Blue Marlin in two days! A few Mahi in the mix as well. Nice job guys!
Three nice Big Eye Tuna were caught today. Todd Johnson landed a 100 lb Big Eye with Wallis Higgenbothem landing the biggest weighing in at 172 lb’s. Josh Bauer wasn’t behind with his 153 lb Big Eye AND releasing a nice Blue Marlin today, topping it off with a few Mahi in the mix. Great Job guys!
