The Yellowfin, Dolohin and Big Eye Tuna continue to be caught amongst the fleet in strong numbers. Today the boats fishing south were having a field day with the Blue Marlin! Very exciting spring fishing happening off the Outer Banks coast. Sounds like July fishing today with all the action! Get ready!!!
Fun day today wrestling with these nice Big Eyes and Yellowfin Tuna!
Conditions changed just slightly for us today. We have a weather front approaching and the water temperature varied which prompted a natural response. We still triumphed with a load of nice Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna!! Nice work to Jimmy and his crew…that’s a big Mahi laying on the dock!!!!
The Tuna fishing has been great and we’re having a blast!! Congratulations to Jeff Nordin and his crew for their great catch plus nice Big Eye Tuna!!

What a phenomenal day aboard the Pelican! A box full of Tuna!! Three huge Big Eye Tuna and Yellowfin Tuna along with a couple of Dolphin made for such a fun day! Hats off to the Postlethwait crew!
Time to get your Tuna game on!!!! I’m ecspecially pleased at the bookings that have been coming in for May & June! Both fantastic months for Mahi and Tuna!! Also, it’s not too soon to consider July. Personally, JULY is one of my favorite months to fish due to being a “transition” time for ALL our target species! Anything is possible in July! If you want to fill the box with meat this Spring now would be a good time to get your prime dates in.
Not much has changed for Mexico sailfish releases. Numbers across the board are steadily consistent and increasing by the day. Not a bad way to brush off the winter blues!

We had an awesome day today landing a nice citation Mahi weighing in at 51 lbs, a 118 lb Big Eye, and 4 released Sailfish!!
