18 tuna mixed bag of yellow fins and black fins and released a sailfish! Nice job guys!!!
Yesterday, our good friend John Bayliss released six White Marlin on his own! Great job John!
We have entered October, which is typically when the Yellow Fins start to show up. It’s nice to end a slower than usual billfish season with six releases. We are gearing up for Tuna and looking forward to a great season! If this spring is any indication of this fall tuna fishing, it should be a great season. Open dates available for October and November! Hope we see you at the dock!!
DOUBLE DIGITS TODAY AND HE’S STILL NOT FINISHED!!!!!
Not sure what will become of the weather looking at the big picture. Recently, we have been dodging the winds and moving folks around so they get the best possible day. Arch has seen and released a good amount of white marlin the last few days. I believe we aren’t finished with Marlin season just yet, I’m interested to see how the next blow effects us. Tight lines.
The Pelican is resting in her slip due to bad winds that have braced us the past few days. A few boats were able to get out of the inlet yesterday releasing billfish in nice numbers. The fishing still stands promising. Monday and Tuesday look great for weather! A great time to get into the fishing. Arch@fishthepelican.com or 252-441-3197
We are expecting great weather for Monday and Tuesday and the billfish are around! Great opportunity!! Give us a call 252-441-3197
A BLUE MARLIN, TWO WHITE MARLIN AND THREE SAIL FISH!!!! A nice Yellow Fin Tuna and a nice catch of Mahi!Congratulations Macon Hunter and Pelican crew! NICE JOB!! I told ya!!
It has been spotty here, a Sailfish and a nice gaffer Mahi or Yellow Fin here for our fleet. A few excellent grand slam days for the boats that are booked. Arch is biting at the bit if you can imagine, those of you who are familiar with his skills. We haven’t had the big wave of 20 White Marlin releases YET…. A few days ago Ocean City got slammed, a few days ago Virginia Beach boats got into them…following me yet? I think it’s coming and very soon! Too rough for us to go that far, but we know Arch is as close as he can get to getting in them, when he does..WATCH OUT!!!Stay tuned!
The last few days we have released seven White Marlin, one Blue Marlin, nice catches if Mahi and a Yellow Fin Tuna. Keeping us on our toes! Nice job!
