The last two days have been great! Yesterday was a short day for our group but they ended it releasing a blue, two whites and a mahi for the box. Today we released four out of six white marlin and three nice mahi for the box. There have been a great number of grand slams caught by the fleet while some boats have had two or three. Hoping this is a good sign for our marlin season.
What an incredible day! We started the first two hours fighting a nice Blue Marlin weighing over 500 lb’s! Then we released 4 of 7 White Marlin! The two gaffer Mahi were icing on the big cake! Slick calm glassy sea conditions. One excellent day!
Another grand day aboard the Pelican! Great Mahi fishing with nice sized gaffers’ and to add sweetness to the day, we released a White Marlin! Pretty work guys!
The last couple of days the weather has been beautiful and calm. Yesterday, althought the tuna had taken a break, we did release a nice Blue Marlin. Today we had a nice catch of tuna and mahi. We are looking forward to another great day tomorrow.

We had a great catch of Yellow Fin Tuna and Mahi today!!! The season is ON!!
The Pelican starts fishing May 1! We are looking forward to another great year full of great catches and making memorable moments for you and your family. May and June are great for Yellow Fin Tuna and Mahi. July is an excellent opportunity to catch a mix of Mahi, Tuna and Marlin. In August and September we target White Marlin, Sailfish and the elusive Blue Marlin! We end our year, October and November targeting the second round of Yellow Fin Tuna. Don’t “miss the boat” on a great time with Capt. Arch and our crew!

Mexico fishing was good and Arch has finished his season in Mexico. We are looking forward to a great year from our home port at Oregon Inlet starting May 1. It’s time to get your dates in for this year!! See you at the dock!!!
Fishing has picked up for Capt. Arch. They have raised consistently double digits sometime twenty plus Sail fish. Weather has been better and fishing is going great!
Paul Gerlach and Capt. Arch continue to strike hard at the sailfish population. Weather was a challenge but that didn’t stop these two successfully releasing in the double digits! Nice work!
