We have had great catches of Dophin along with a few Tuna for the past few days.  It should continue  as we approach changes in weather and wind patterns.  We are looking forward to seeing more consistent catches of gaffer Dolphin and more Yellowfin tuna.  It’s been fun!

Sunday, George Haduch and friends had a wonderful day reeling in near thirty gaffer Dolphin and the occasional Mako.  We had one Dolphin weighing around thirty five pounds with the others fifteen to twenty pounds. It was great fun, nice weather another great day aboard the Pelican!

The Pelican has started the season with great catches of Yellowfin Tuna and Dolphin.  Its beautiful weather and a great time to catch meat fish!  We are looking forward to another great year!

Capt. Arch Bracher released nearly six hundred sailfish this winter at Isla Mujeres.  The combination of great weather, awesome fishing and great anglers made for a successful season.  We are looking forward to starting in NC on April 30, 2011.  Currently we are enjoying fishing on the flats  in the Florida Keys for Permit, Barracuda, and Bonefish with Arch’s brother Capt. Pat Bracher.

The last several days have been excellent fishing for Capt. Arch.  Paul Gerlach and Ron Grimm released near 90 sailfish in two days, this was Ron’s first experience with sailfish, great work on the angling skills!  The last two days have been successful for Brian Light as well, he’s over the fifty mark with a double digit day yesterday and three on fly and twenty five releases (on bait) for the total today.   It has been consistently great fishing and good weather!

You and sixty six sailfish releases…66 sailfish releases!  Congrats to John Bailey for excellent angling skills today!   Arch is having a great time putting John on these fish and enjoying the excellent fishing conditions.  Looking forward to another great day tomorrow!

Darren Terzi with Capt. Arch aboard the Kin M released 43 sailfish yesterday.  This kind of fishing is addictive and most of all an absolute great time.  All the conditions are perfect right now and we’re enjoying the sailfish bite that we expect this time of year. The warm weather and beautiful water is icing on the cake!

Arch started fishing today in Mexico releasing 21 sailfish seeing 35!  Weather was a bit rough today but the week looks great!  Warm temps and plenty of sailfish around makes for a great time!!

Capt. Arch and Summer Bracher want to wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2011.  We are looking forward to a great fishing year!  The Pelican begins fishing on May 1.  May, June and July are great months for a mixture of Tuna, Mahi and we never rule out Marlin.  August and September are our Marlin season going into October and November for Tuna.  Most times they overlap, so the skies the limit on what we catch at any given time.  It’s time to get your plans in place and get your dates reserved, we are always available for any questions don’t hesitate to give us a call or email.  It’s going to be a great 2011, We’ll see you on the Pelican.
