The Tuna Bite was on today!  Beautiful day and calm seas made for a great day for Chris and Michelle Glodick limiting out on Yellowfin Tuna.  Some of the guys who went south of where we were saw a nice amount of Marlin!  Great fishing, take advantage of it!  June 28th available this coming week.

We have June 25 and 28th available!!! Not a common occurrence for a June date to be available this time of year! It’s been great fishing!! Tuna, Mahi have been the target and now we are seeing the billfish show up!! Saw three Sailfish and a nice Blue Marlin yesterday. We landed Mahi, six Nice Yellowfins and had a Sailfish release. Its getting even more exciting as the transition of our species happens. Get it while you have a chance at them all!!!! June 25 and 28 are great times for that to happen!

It’s been blowing the past few days.  Enough to keep us at the dock.  We got out yesterday and today.  Got a few Tuna, some Dolphin and a Acanthocybium solandri. Good eating.  Pissed off a Blue One.  Boats to the south have seen a good number of billfish. Hopefully they come our way.  Stay tuned.

An excellent day on the water, beautiful weather and great fishing!.  We landed fourteen Yellowfin tuna to load up the box!

The Pelican and crew ventured 35 miles SE of the Oregon Inlet to the Big Eye spot.  Fairfax, Virginia’s best got what they bargained for putting a 180, 140 and 130 “something pounders” in the box. Brendon and Avery also managed to convince Lee to squeeze 4 Yellow Fin in as well. Even dressed out they will need a big cooler to get all that home. Good day overall.

The Pelican ran 35 miles SE of the Inlet today in calm seas to find and stick with a school of Big Eye.  Big Big Eye.  The kind that make you sore!  When all was said and done 3 of them weighed in at 195, 120 and 116 pounds respectively.  Add two Wahoo and 3 Yellowfin it’s safe to say they used up all the ice.  A lot of packed coolers. Elsewhere in the fleet a few Blue and White Marlin were caught and released. Maybe the fishing will get better.

We wore them out today!  Yellowfins jumping everywhere and chasing flying fish.  Tons of action on the kite and ended the day with a box full!!!!

Another day of great Tuna fishing aboard the Pelican.  We landed 13 Yellowfin Tuna and 6 nice gaffer dolphin (Mahi).  The fleet did well with dolphin and a few Big Eye Tuna were caught as well.

Todd Fischer and his friends landed eleven nice Yellowfin Tuna and two nice gaffer Mahi on the Pelican today ending the day with a nice catch.  A little slower than it has been lately but still a super day.

After a week of threats Beryl had its way with the OBX fleet.  Fortunately it only lasted for 12 hours and most of that was last night.  Today dawned with the sea laying out and the Tuna biting.  Big Time!  Along with the sharks. For every Tuna that went in the box two where mauled by the toothy critters. The 100 pound Big Eye did not fall victim and made it to the boat. A few dolphin where added to round out the day’s catch with what tuned out to be a full box of meat.  Great day overall.  A lot of happy anglers and fins around the stern of the Pelican.
