Current Pelican Fishing Report
It was a beautiful day offshore and we had a blast with this crew! Gabe Davis released his first Sailfish on the Pelican and we are thrilled to have been a part of his extraordinary experience. These guys are true fishermen at heart enjoying this sport by boat, land and pier. We landed Yellowfin Tuna and Dolphin too! Great day
We enjoyed a beautiful day and caught Yellowfin along with a few Blackfin Tuna. Wahoo and Sailfish were around also. A nice day to be offshore fishing.
A lot of fun was had today with a smorgasbord of fish. July is the month when multiple species are caught and anything is possible! We landed a nice catch of Tuna and released two Sailfish!!! A few Wahoo are around too. Congratulations to Jessica and Mark for their first billfish releases!! Great job today!
One of our favorite things to see is the return of young anglers. In today’s world, its wonderful to see parents taking their kids fishing, it’s even more rewarding when the kids want to do it again! Here is Gavin with his Dolphin in 2015 and his Tuna today! Excellent angler!

Overall today was slower for the fleet but this group met the challenge head on with an excellent catch of Yellowfin Tuna. Nice work!

Fun on the Pelican today! The weather was much better offshore than expected. We released a nice Blue Marlin and saw another. Had a nice catch of Yellowfin as well. Great day fishing!
