The Tuna bite has begun

Captain Bracher had Joe, Connie and 9 year old Wes Kaylor on board the Pelican today.  The weather and seas where calm enough to make the 30+  mile run a pleasant one and the tuna ended up cooperating. Wes helped his parents landed 7 nice yellow fins, a dolphin fish and several black fins !

A Pelican Dozen!

Pelican had a great day today,  great weather and calm seas today.  Pelican landed seven blackfin tuna and  yellow fin tuna weighing in at 50-77lbs.  Debbie catching the 77lb Yellowfin.  Great Job Debbie! A great start to our tuna season.

Tuna season approaching

Pelican is hoping for a few more shots at the marlin and looking forward to October and November for another great Tuna season.  We’ve had great signs already with citation tuna being caught.

Whites and Dolphin Fish

Yesterday, Pelican headed in search of the White Marlin, Picked up two whites and five dolphin.  Battling weather this week, at the dock today.

Due to weather we weren’t able to get out, water looks good for tomorrow if we can get out, 50/50% chance, hoping the weather cooporates.

The day started out fairly calm and gave way to northeast winds moving in.  Pelican had a great day with Five Yellowfin Tuna, one Wahoo, One Sailfish, Ten Blackfin Tuna.
