We had a great time today landing a load of Dolphin with a few Tuna mixed in topped off with a nice Wahoo!
We’ve had an interesting May this year. We’ve had both, days we wished were better and excellent days. The tuna fishing has been inconsistent but the Yellowfins we’ve caught have been HUGE! From #91 lb’s at the smallest to #122 lb’s…CRAZY BIG TUNA!! Additionally, Wahoo have been big with the Bates crew and youth angler landing a #50 and #63 yesterday along with a few Dolphin and releasing a White Marlin! These last several days have been a mixture of meat fish with a few billfish releases. We’ve also enjoyed family fun catching Cobia. Congratulations to the Wheeler crew for landing #91 & #98 Yellowfins this week! Great work!

Wyatt released three White Marlin, a Sailfish and a Blue Marlin along with a 38lb Dolphin, Tuna and Wahoo!! Little brother Grant released his first White Marlin and also landed Tuna, Wahoo and Dolphin! Wyatt and Grant Bailey are two extraordinary young anglers who had an unforgettable 2020 season on the Pelican! Way to go Bailey crew!

Does it get any better than this? Grant with big brother Wyatt had a fantastic day catching Dolphin along with Wahoo as big as they are!! Always a great time with the Bailey’s and a treat to watch these two young anglers enjoy fishing!
