Some Days Are Better Than Others
Paul Gerlach drove down from DC for a couple of days of blue water action onboard the Pelican. Unfortunately the Marlin bite has slackened off a bit. The Pelican did manage to limit out on Tuna yesterday. Easy when there is one angler on the boat. The 1 White Marlin they did see was not to be. Today was not much different. However the finale proved to be somewhat exciting. A lonely Wahoo decided that the spread behind the Pelican was too much to resist. After biting off the flat lines, a rigger and a favorite Hawaiian Eye, the toothy critter was finally caught. It weighed in at 65 pounds after the lure was extracted. At least Paul will be driving back with a cooler full of table fare and Arch got his lure back…
