It’s Getting Real Exciting!

The Pelican has released 19 White Marlin in two days!!!!  This is great news for July fishing!  Sunday, the Lipman crew saw great Marlin action, a few singles, doubles, then BAM!!!a quad at the end of the day, sending them into double digit releases, 10 to be exact.  Yesterday we went fun fishing and released nine of twelve.  We all released at least one, I hooked two, Phil hooked three, Nick Walke reeled one in and Uncle Nick and Jeff Albarty each caught one.  Loads of Fun!!!  The weather was awesome too, just couldn’t ask for much more other than seeing more White’s, but the numbers were close across the fleet.  On our trip yesterday, all but two were singles.  I have to say, as much as I enjoy catching in big numbers and the dance in the cockpit when we have multiples I enjoyed savoring the single bites, it gives everyone the opportunity to see how beautiful these fish are.  The way they come in behind the bait and eat, jump and dance and show their beautiful colors when they “light up”.  It’s amazing, it’s more than exciting, for some it’s indescribable the feeling you get when you catch a Marlin.  If you haven’t done it, you need to add it to your bucket list, it is a must do on the Pelican with Capt. Arch.
