<p>The <strong>charter boat</strong> <strong>Pelican’s</strong> port of call is <strong>Oregon</strong><strong> Inlet Fishing Center</strong> located within one mile of <strong><a href="http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&amp;ll=35.776287,-75.531178&amp;spn=0.046934,0.08626&amp;t=h&amp;z=14">Oregon Inlet</a></strong> on the <strong><a href="http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&amp;ll=35.500928,-75.476074&amp;spn=3.01397,5.52063&amp;t=h&amp;z=8">Outer Banks</a></strong> (OBX) of <strong>North Carolina</strong>. This area offshore of the East coast of the United States is considered one of the most productive, year round, blue water fisheries world wide. Close access to offshore waters and the <strong>Gulf Stream</strong> allow <strong>charter boats</strong>, commercial and recreational fisherman a year round angling bonanza. Located on the north end or entrance to the <strong><a href="http://www.nps.gov/caha/index.htm">Cape Hatteras National Seashore Park</a></strong> the area is also renowned for its inshore water and beach/surf fishing access.</p>
<p>Thanks to the huge expanse and warmth of the shallow waters of <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pamlico_Sound">Pamlico Sound</a></strong> bait fish and or fry of all types inhabit the back water.  All seasons offer <strong>fishing</strong> of some sort. In the spring of the year schools of <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Drum">Red Drum</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Striped_Bass">Striped Bass</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluefish">Bluefish</a></strong> migrate north passing close to the 200 + miles of beach which make up much of  <strong><a href="http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&amp;ll=35.500928,-75.476074&amp;spn=3.01397,5.52063&amp;t=h&amp;z=8">North Carolina’s Outer Banks</a></strong>. As temperatures warm in the Spring and Summer the action picks up off shore as the blue water of the <strong>Gulf Stream</strong> creeps in within miles of the <strong>OBX</strong> inlet’s at <strong>Cape Hatteras</strong> and <strong>Oregon Inlet</strong>.  <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_Blue_Marlin">Atlantic Blue Marlin</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_marlin">White Marlin</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_sailfish">Atlantic Sailfish</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wahoo">Wahoo</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolphin_fish">Dolphin Fish</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellowfin_tuna">Yellow Fin</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big-eyed_tuna">Big Eye Tuna</a></strong> show up in good numbers this time of year. <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobia">Cobia</a></strong> are seen and caught within sight of the beaches in the summer. <strong>Red Drum</strong>, <strong>Striped Bass</strong> and <strong>Bluefish</strong> along with a host of other species migrate south in the fall and early winter.  <strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_bluefin_tuna">Blue Fin Tuna</a></strong> show up off shore in mid winter.</p>
<p><strong>Captain Arch Brach Bracher </strong>has fished this area for over 3 decades.  Growing up in Northern Florida and then nearby <strong>Virginia Beach</strong> it did not take long for his brother <strong><a href="http://fishovertime.com/index.php">Captain Pat Bracher</a></strong> and him to recognize where the real fishing action was. As a mate for an offshore charter boat out of <strong>Rudy Inlet, </strong>Arch really began to cut his teeth deep sea fishing after joining up with Chip Schaffer on the Temptress in the 80’s. Then, with the purchase of his first <strong>Pelican</strong> in 1990 (a 50 foot Sheldon Midget built boat) he began his owner/captain career becoming one of the most successful sports fishing captains in and around the <a href="http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&amp;ll=35.532226,-74.753723&amp;spn=1.506461,2.515869&amp;z=9" target="_blank"><strong>Gulf Stream</strong></a>.</p>
<p>In 2000, Capt.<strong> Arch<em> </em>Bracher</strong> had a 56 foot, <a title="blocked::http://www.paulmanncustomboats.com/" href="http://www.paulmanncustomboats.com/">Paul Mann</a> sport fisher custom built and the second and current <strong>Pelican<em> </em></strong>saga began. Arch is a dedicated angler, captain and conservationist who will choose first to release anything hooked should conditions allow. He also actively participates in tagging programs for billfish and drum.  Arch, the Pelican, crew and guests are consistent tournament winners with a key illustration being his winning of The <strong>Master’s Sailfish Tournament</strong> in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 and the 2006 <strong>Pirate’s Cove Tournament</strong>. In addition, he is consistently at the top of the annual billfish count at his port of call, <strong><a href="http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&amp;ll=35.796182,-75.547829&amp;spn=0.011731,0.019655&amp;t=h&amp;z=16" target="_blank">Oregon Inlet Fishing Center</a></strong>, while at the wheel of the “<strong>Pelican</strong>”.</p>
